Carolyn Weston QSM
I have Osteoporosis, pseudoglioma syndrome, legally blind and brittle bones. For many years I have been a disability advocate and advisor. In 2001, I was National President of DPA NZ and National President of Blind Citizens NZ (2003-07), initiated the establishment of the Disability Resource Centre Southland and sat on several disability service providers boards. I am currently Blind Citizens – Southland Branch Chair and on the MedicAlert Foundation Board.

Hi, I'm Melissa, and I'm a single parent who cares full-time for my young adult son, who is Autistic and has severe anxiety. My reason for becoming part of the Disabled United community is to fight for my son's rights as a mother and as a voice for my son. I also have arthritis, hypermobility and a neurological disorder myself.

Renee Campbell
I am a long time Type 1 Diabetic, with Celiacs, and I am now suffering chronic pain and peripheral (legs and arms) and autonomic (body wide) nerve damage. I also suffer mental health issues, and my nerve damage prevents me walking more than 50m and has prevented my healing from frozen shoulder, neck injury, and hip tendonitis. I am also a carer of my 8-year-old autistic daughter. I have been a self-advocate through my life with diabetes, and now I advocate for my daughter, too. I am also an author, and currently working on completing my first trilogy in the fantasy genre. My pen name and social media account names is Evie Asterwyn.
